On December 20 this year the authorities of the Rzeszów County handed over to the City of Rzeszów the infrastructure built by the county in the form of internal roads in the Science and Technology Park “Rzeszów-Dworzysko”, along with monitoring and a lightning protection system for the entire park. The value of the transferred assets is over PLN 20 million.
The donation agreement was signed by representatives of Rzeszów County: Starost of Rzeszów Marek Sitarz and Deputy Starost of Rzeszów Tadeusz Pachorek. The City The Rzeszów Commune was represented by the Director of the Property Management Office of the City of Rzeszów, Grzegorz Tarnowski.
In March 2022, water supply, sanitary and sewage infrastructure worth approximately PLN 30 million was transferred to the City of Rzeszów. The transfer of infrastructure was possible thanks to the expiration of the so-called durability of the project entitled “Preparation of investment areas for the construction of the Science and Technology Park Rzeszów-Dworzysko”, co-financed by the European Union under the Operational Program Development of Eastern Poland 2007-2013.
The creation of the Science and Technology Park “Rzeszów-Dworzysko” was a flagship activity for the Rzeszów County authorities, because thanks to it they acquired world leaders from many innovative areas of the economy. This project turned out to be a success and brought measurable results. The project was implemented for over PLN 80 million. An area with great investment potential was created, hailed as the economic heart of the region. Investors had at their disposal fully developed areas with an area of 83.42 ha. The uniqueness of this investment was that it was implemented by the district on land owned by it. Currently, there are 40 companies in the Science and Technology Park “Rzeszów-Dworzysko” that have so far invested PLN 2.5 billion and will ultimately create 4,000 new jobs.
